Aroostook Partnership for Progress (APP) and the Northern Maine Development Commission (NMDC) provide the leadership and resources to develop Mobilize Northern Maine. APP and NMDC are working with consultants from ViTAL Economy as well as regional community and industry leaders. Aroostook Partnership for Progress (APP) – is a regional public-private organization that works with its partners to market Aroostook County nationally and internationally, conduct regional research, and coordinate efforts to influence business and government issues that impact economic growth and development. (Note: I underlined APP and NMDC to link to your websites) Northern Maine Development Commission (NMDC) – is a membership organization comprised of participating communities and counties in the Northern Maine Economic Development District. NMDC provides help to communities and individuals in the areas of community planning, transportation planning, environmental planning, economic development, tourism, business planning and business finance. NMDC also assists communities in accessing state and federal funds from the Community Development Block Grant program (CDBG) and the Economic Development Administration (EDA) and is also responsible for developing and updating of the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for EDA.
